# How to Require Customers to Book Appointments in Advance in Picktime

Picktime allows you to set how far in advance customers should book an appointment. By enabling the **Users Should Book Ahead** setting, you can control the minimum notice period required before a customer can make a booking.

## Step 1: Go to Online Booking

Log in to your Picktime account. From the left-side menu, click **Online Booking**.

## Step 3: Enable Users Should Book Ahead and save the changes

Scroll down to the **Booking Restrictions** section.

Find the **Users Should Book Ahead** option and turn on the toggle button.

Select the required advance booking time using the **Days**, **Hours**, and **Minutes** dropdown fields.

For example, if you set it to **1 Day, 1 Hour, and 1 Minute Ahead**, customers will need to book at least that much time before the appointment.

After setting the required time, click **Save** in the top-right corner.

Once saved, the minimum advance booking notice period will be applied to your Picktime online booking page.

|| Note: This setting helps you prevent last-minute bookings and gives your team enough time to prepare for upcoming appointments.
