# How to Set a Booking Cancellation Notice Period in Picktime

Picktime allows you to control how close to an appointment customers can cancel their bookings. By setting the **Allow Cancel Bookings Before** time, you can decide whether customers can cancel anytime, 15 minutes before, 1 hour before, or within another preferred time limit.

## Step 1: Go to Online Booking

Log in to your Picktime account. From the left-side menu, click **Online Booking**.

## Step 3: Update Allow Cancel Bookings Before and save the changes

Scroll down to the **Reschedule/Cancellation Settings** section.

Go to the **Allow Cancel Bookings Before** field and click the dropdown menu.

Select the preferred cancellation notice period from the available options, such as **No Preference**, **15 Mins**, **30 Mins**, **45 Mins**, **1 Hour**, or any other available duration.

For example, if you select **1 Hour**, customers can cancel their booking only up to 1 hour before the appointment time.

After selecting the preferred cancellation time limit, click **Save** in the top-right corner.

Once saved, the updated cancellation booking setting will be applied to your Picktime online booking page.

|| Note: Setting a cancellation notice period helps reduce last-minute cancellations and gives your team enough time to adjust the schedule.
