How to Create and Manage Class Packages in Picktime
Set up session bundles, publish them on your booking page, and manage customer bookings.
Availability - Pro Plan
A class package lets a customer buy several class sessions in one purchase and book those sessions from times already on your schedule. Use this guide to create, publish, and manage packages, and to understand what customers see.
Package limits at a glance
Limit | Pro Plan |
|---|---|
Packages per account | 20 |
Sessions in one package | Up to 100 |
Customers who can buy one package | Up to 50 |
Package validity | Up to 120 days |
Before you create a package
- Subscribe to the Pro plan. Class Packages are not available on Free or Starter plans.
- Schedule the class sessions. Add enough sessions inside the dates your package will cover. The package cannot create them for you.
- Turn on packages for your booking page. Go to Online Booking > Booking Settings and enable Packages. This account-wide setting is off until you switch it on.
- Allow packages for each class. Set the class Booking Type to Sessions and packages or Packages only. Sessions only hides packages for that class.

Where packages live: Booking Types > Packages. Open a saved package to use its Details, Sessions, and Participants tabs.
Create a class package
Go to Booking Types > Packages, select New Package, and complete the following three steps.
- Define what you are selling. Enter a unique package name, link a class, add a customer-facing description, choose the validity period, set the number of sessions, and enter the price.
- Validity: Use fixed start and end dates or a rolling number of days from purchase. A rolling period counts the purchase date as day one. The maximum is 120 days.
- Price: Charge one price for the full package, set a price per session, or enter zero for a free package.
- Session count: Choose how many sessions the customer receives, up to 100.
- Choose how customers select sessions. Set how customers schedule the sessions included in their class pack. Customers can either select each session individually based on their availability or use Auto-book from a start date to automatically schedule their remaining sessions.
- Select sessions individually: Customers choose each session before completing checkout.
- Auto-book from a start date: Customers select a start date, and Picktime automatically schedules the earliest eligible session on each following day until all sessions in the package are booked.
- Sessions per day controls whether a customer can select a package session once or several times on the same day.
- Set a buyer limit. Enter a lower cap if only a certain number of customers should buy the package. Leaving this setting empty does not make the package unlimited. The Pro plan cap of 50 buyers still applies.

Complete the settings after saving
Open the package and use the Details tab to configure three settings that appear only after the first save.
- Cover picture: Add the image shown on the package card.
- Allow online booking: Turn this on to publish the package. When it is off, customers cannot see the package and staff cannot add new participants to it.
- Extra filters: Limit eligible sessions by location, team member, session length, or day of the week.

Use filters carefully: Every filter reduces the eligible session pool. If fewer eligible sessions remain than the package includes, customers cannot complete a purchase.
Check the package before publishing
- Your account is on the Pro plan.
- Packages are enabled under Online Booking > Booking Settings.
- Each linked class permits package bookings.
- Allow online booking is turned on for the package.
- The package end date has not passed.
- Enough class sessions match the package dates and filters.
What customers experience
- Choose a class. Packages appear inside the class booking flow, so the customer selects the class first.
- Choose a package. They see its image, name, description, validity, included sessions, and price. If single-session bookings are also allowed, they can choose that option instead.
- Select sessions. They either choose every session with a running total or select a start date and let Picktime add the eligible sessions.
- Enter details and pay. They can pay online when enabled, choose pay later when allowed, or complete a free package without payment. A discount code works only when the package itself is included in the code settings.
- Wait for approval when required. If booking approval is enabled, the purchase becomes a request for your business to approve or decline.
- Receive confirmation. The confirmation email includes a calendar invite for every session in the package.
For online classes: Joining links appear in the session emails and on the printed package schedule, not on the confirmation screen.

Manage customers and package sessions
Open the package and select Participants. For each customer, you can review used sessions and payment status, resend the confirmation, print the session schedule, record or take payment, and cancel the package.
Rescheduling and cancellation rules
- Rescheduling: A customer can move one package session to another eligible session if it remains inside the package dates and follows the linked-class, filter, and sessions-per-day rules.
- Single-session cancellation: A customer cannot cancel only one session from a package. They can reschedule it, or the entire package can be canceled.
- After attendance: Once a customer has attended a package session, only the business can cancel or adjust the package.
- Manage sessions separately: Staff can remove a customer from the package while leaving the booked sessions in place, then manage those bookings one at a time.
Edit a package after customers have purchased
- Price, session count, and validity dates change only for new customers. Existing customers keep the terms they purchased.
- Linked classes and extra filters apply immediately. Tightening them can prevent an existing customer from rescheduling a session.
What happens if you change plans
If you move from Pro to Starter or Free, your packages are placed on hold and hidden. They are not deleted. Customers keep every session already booked, and Picktime does not cancel or refund those bookings. If you return to Pro, open each package and publish it again because hidden packages are not republished automatically.
Troubleshooting
- Customers cannot see the package on the booking page
Confirm the account is on Pro, the account-wide package setting is on, the class Booking Type allows packages, Allow online booking is on, and the package is still within its valid dates.
- The package appears, but there are no sessions to choose
Open the package's Sessions tab. Confirm the linked class has sessions inside the package dates and loosen any filters that remove eligible sessions. If the Sessions tab is empty for staff, it is also empty for customers.
- The package says it is already full, but no buyer limit was set
An empty buyer-limit setting still uses the Pro plan cap of 50 customers. The package becomes full when that limit is reached.
- You see "No Premium Access. Please Upgrade"
The account is on Free or Starter. Class Packages require the Pro plan.
- You cannot create another package
The Pro plan allows up to 20 packages per account.
- A discount code does not apply
Edit the discount code and include the package itself. Linking a code only to the class does not apply it to the package.
- A customer cannot move a package booking
The new session may fall outside the package dates, fail an extra filter, exceed the sessions-per-day limit, or already be booked in the same package.
- A large package still shows as being booked
Large packages are processed a few sessions at a time. Wait briefly, then refresh the page before trying again. If payment is required, the selected sessions remain held for 30 minutes while the customer completes payment.
- A payment is marked as paid, but no invoice appears
Mark as Paid only records a payment made outside Picktime, so it does not create an invoice. Use Collect Payment when you want Picktime to collect the payment and create the invoice.
- Can you delete a class linked to a package?
Yes. Picktime does not display a package warning when the class is deleted. The package remains, but it has no sessions to sell. Update the package's linked classes before deleting the original class.
Custom terminology: Your business can rename Package to a label such as Pack, Membership, or Class Card, so customers may see a different term on the booking page.
