How to Enable Variable Pricing for a Resource on Picktime

Variable pricing is useful when the same resource has different booking options, durations, or prices. For example, a private room may be available for 1 hour, 2 hours, or 2 hours 30 minutes, with a different price for each option.

With Picktime, you can enable variable pricing for a resource and let customers choose the option that fits their booking needs before selecting a date and time.

Step 1: Go to Booking Types

From your Picktime dashboard, click Booking Types from the left-side menu.

Step 2: Select Resources

On the Booking Types page, click Resources to open your resource list.

Step 3: Open the Resource

From the resource list, select the resource for which you want to enable variable pricing.

Step 4: Enable Variable Pricing and Add Pricing Options

On the Resource Details page, go to the Pricing dropdown and select Variable.

After selecting variable pricing, add the required pricing options by entering:

Price
Duration
Title

Click Add Sub-resource Item if you want to add more pricing options.

For example, you can add:

1 Hour
2 Hours
2 Hours 30 Minutes

Make sure Allow Online Booking is enabled if you want customers to book this resource online. Once all pricing options are added, click Save.

Step 5: Customer View on the Booking Page

Once variable pricing is enabled, customers will see the resource on your booking page. When they select the resource, Picktime displays the available pricing options.

Customers can choose the option they want, such as 1 Hour, 2 Hours, or 2 Hours 30 Minutes, and then continue to select the date and time for the booking.

Note: Variable pricing helps you offer multiple booking options for the same resource without creating separate resources for each price or duration. It keeps your resource list simple while giving customers more flexibility when booking online.
