How to Set Up Deposit Payments on Picktime to Reduce No-Shows

Picktime lets you collect payment during online booking, helping reduce no-shows and last-minute cancellations. You can choose whether customers should pay the full amount, a percentage of the amount, or a fixed fee when booking.

This is useful when you want customers to confirm their appointment with an upfront payment.

Step 1: Go to Payments & Sales

From your Picktime dashboard, click Payments & Sales from the left-side menu.

Step 2: Open Settings

In the Payments & Sales section, click the Settings tab.

Step 3: Choose the Payment Collection Type

Under How do you want to process your payments, choose how you want customers to pay while booking.

Select Charge a % of amount if you want to collect a percentage of the booking cost as a deposit.

Select Charge fixed fee if you want to collect the same deposit amount for every booking.

You can also select Charge full amount if you want customers to pay the complete booking amount online.

After choosing the payment option, click Save to apply the changes.

Once saved, customers will be asked to make the selected payment during online booking.

Note: These payment settings are applied to all bookings in your business. Deposit payments require an online payment gateway, such as PayPal, Stripe, or Square, to be connected to your Picktime account.
